What is Restylane®?
Restylane® is a hyaluronic acid filler created by the manufacturer, Galderma, the same company that manufactures the neurotoxin, Dysport®. The following Restylane® products can be used to augment facial structure, replace volume loss, and correct moderate to severe facial wrinkles and folds.

Does a Restylane® Injection Hurt?
We apply a topical numbing agent 20-30 minutes before injections to ensure the most comfortable experience for our patients. Restylane® products also contain a premixed local anesthetic, increasing comfort during injection. Restylane® products are pre-loaded in a sterile syringe and expertly injected by Dr. Guido.
What is recovery like after a Restylane® treatment?
You may or may not experience mild redness, tenderness, or bruising after filler treatment. We recommend stopping any blood thinners not prescribed by a physician for 1-2 weeks before filler injections to prevent the risk of bruising. Examples of these are Aspirin, NSAIDS like Advil (Ibuprofen) or Aleve (Naproxen Sodium), Vitamin E, Fish Oil, Ginkgo, Green Tea, Garlic, Ginseng, St John’s Wort, or Alcohol.
How long do results from Restylane® last?
Restylane® products can last anywhere from several months to several years, depending on the consistency of the product, location of injection, and the individual’s ability to metabolize the product.
